Hi Ivana, Great blog you have here! I know little about Faroe Islands, it’s in northern Europe, animals are mainly birds and the climate can be really cold. Reading the info on Wiki, I learned that its Danish name translates to “the islands of sheep”. I also read that domestic animals of Faroe Islands are a result of 1,200 years of isolated breeding, which means many of them are found nowhere else in the world – Faroe pony, cow, goose, sheep and duck. Wow, that is really amazing to know! I checked out this online stamp catalogue Faroe Islands and found the cats issued in 2011, February 21. Sure feels great when I cross-check them to this online stamp catalogue and find them.
slatko :)
